Essie Wilson was born to perform! She began dancing at age three! By the ripe age of seven, she was performing regularly in a children’s musical theater company, and at thirteen landed a spot in Philadelphia’s esteemed High School for the Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) with a double major in Theater and Dance.
After graduation, Essie attended Montclair State University, studying both theater and dance. While still a student, she taught musical theater, ballet, and jazz in a private studio just outside Manhattan.
Essie has worked for The Walt Disney Corporation, was a regular performer in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and has been featured in both print and television advertising campaigns in Philadelphia.
Essie’s love for the creative and performing arts is fueled by her unstoppable spirit! In 2020, she launched a nonprofit creative arts studio in her community. Her lifelong passion is to inspire others to follow their heart and actualize their dreams.
Essie began recording with Utility Entertainment in 2020; she was officially signed with exclusive artist agreements in 2021. Essie’s unique songs include Pop, R&B and Hip-Hop tracks that are reaching audiences all over the world.
Essie’s voice is as vibrant as her personality, and her style is unforgettable! Essie’s 2022 live performances include citywide community events and venues such as the Showboat in Atlantic City , NJ. Essie’s first single ‘ Just One Look’ was released in 2021. In 2022 Utility Entertainment via producer Anthony Utility released ‘Another Summer’, as well as ‘Do Me Right’ which features Essie and Hip-Hop legend Jadakiss – all tracks are available to download and watch the music video’s on YouTube and all major streaming platforms.
Essie was recently featured on the Power 105.1 ‘New Artist Spotlight’ hosted by the talented DJ SussOne. You can hear her music live on multiple radio stations such as WBLS, Power 105.1, Shade 45 and more. A variety of artist interviews are in the works, some of which are already available to watch.
